Low Level Laser Therapy

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), also known as cold laser therapy, is a treatment that uses low-intensity laser light to promote healing, reduce pain, and decrease inflammation in tissues. Unlike high-intensity lasers that can cut or burn tissue, LLLT uses low-power lasers or light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to stimulate cellular processes within the tissue, without causing harm to the body.

LLLT works by penetrating the skin and tissues to reach cells and mitochondria, where it encourages increased energy production (ATP) which is essential for cellular repair and regeneration. This process accelerates tissue repair, reduces swelling, and alleviates pain. It is commonly used in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain conditions (like arthritis), tendonitis, and soft tissue injuries and works synergistically with Chiropractic adjustments enhancing the effectiveness of each modality.

The therapy is typically non-invasive, painless, and has minimal to no side effects. Sessions usually last between 15 to 20 minutes and are repeated several times depending on the condition being treated.
