Hip & Pelvic Pain

Whilst often a result of Osteoarthritis, hip and pelvic pain can occur in all ages due to recurrent injuries, biomechanical stressors, arthritis and a number of genetic predispositions.

Often there may be some sacro-iliac (pelvic) involvement on the affected side.

Treatment often involves spinal &/or pelvic adjustments to realign the pelvic girdle, hip and lower spine, improving joint mobility and reducing pressure on nerves and surrounding tissues. Soft tissues therapy, Dry Needling and Low Level Laser Therapy may also be utilized to relieve tension in the muscles and reduce joint inflammation around the hip and pelvis. Additionally, personalized rehabilitation exercises are often recommended to strengthen core and hip muscles, improve flexibility, and enhance stability. Education on posture, ergonomics, and lifestyle modifications is provided to help prevent future issues. Overall, chiropractic care takes a holistic approach to managing hip and pelvic pain, promoting both short-term relief and long-term wellness by addressing the underlying causes of discomfort.

In severe cases, hip replacements are required. Often there may be a long wait for surgery. We can help you through this period with treatment targeting pain relief and mobility.
